It has been a long time since I used Microsoft products. With technologies become more and more improved and so with the growing use of open-source programs eg:Firefox, Microsoft Products may have receive a very strong hits not only in use but also in sales. To maintain the sales, updates are a necessary factory to whichever software maker so that customers may gain satisfaction with the improved technologies and functions but how far can it goes and achieve its intention?
The latest introduction of Microsoft office 2007 had debut into the market bringing fresh view on its programs in every terms. It was seem beautifully decorated at the first glance but the question arise here is "Ease of use". I had been trying Microsoft office for quite sometime and find the previous release Microsoft Office 2003 of more ease of use than the latest Microsoft office 2007.
Why do I say like that? Well, the answer is quite simple. Two words - where and how. Since I had used Microsoft office applications for quite sometime, its indeed difficult even for me to use this latest software. Unlike its previous version, every functions and locations of buttons can easily be located by me. But with this new office, everything seem a blow towards my experience. I no longer can find which buttons I am looking for due to the main factor "Change in locations" of the buttons.
No longer is there file, edit, etc in the menu bar.... Now is started with Home, Insert etc and the "File" was replaced by a nice Microsoft office Logo! Looking at first sight may think the logo is sort of for decoration but if look indepth, it may not.
There is more issues with this latest release but I stop here at the moment while I research more.
But based on my opinion, this software is not worth an upgrade! If you had Microsoft office 2003 on your computer, you may find it more easier to use than the latest release!
